Scope of the Symposium:
The 10th workshop on biosensors and bioanalytical µ-techniques in environmental and clinical analysis will continue a series
of workshops where all aspects of biosensing and bioanalytics in Life Sciences will be discussed on a high scientific level
in a stimulating and cultural environment. As previous biosensor workshops which were held in Paris (1994), Lund (1996), Las Vegas (1998), Mao (Menorca, 1999),
Ithaca (2002), Rome (2004), Kusadasi (Izmir 2006),
Goa (2007) and Montreal (2009) the anniversary workshop in Weimar in 2011 will continue this high quality tradition.
Topics of the workshop will give more emphasis to µ-systems, µ-fluidics and nano-technologies in environmental and clinical analysis to take into account the
scientific progress received in the field of biosensors and their applications during the last years. The meeting will be an opportunity for scientists in
all areas of analytical and clinical research to discuss the state of the art of biosensor development and the usage of sensors materials.
The conference will focus the following topics:
- Functional Materials and Surfaces, Supramolecular Structures
- New Developments in Sensor Technology (Working Principles)
- Microfluidics for Cell Biology
- Microfluidic Components
- Biochips, Microarrays (Gene Expression Patterns)
- BioMEMS Development and Applications
- Cell Sorting and Cell Handling
- Optical and Electrochemical Detection Principles
- Innovative Detection Technologies
- Data Analysis, Modeling and Software Development
